คอร์ส ม.5 เป็นคอร์สระดับ upper-intermediate ใช้วิธีการสอนหลายรูปแบบ และการสอนภาษาเพื่อการสื่อสารยังคงเป็นหัวใจหลัก  เรามุ่งเน้นการใช้โครงสร้างที่นำไปใช้ได้จริงตามสถานการณ์ต่างๆ โดยฝึกตามความเหมาะสมของแต่ละบุคคล ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษพูดคุยในสถานการณ์จริง ทำกิจกรรมทั้งในห้องเรียนและนอกห้องเรียนเพื่อการสื่อสารเทียบชั้นเจ้าของภาษา และพัฒนาทักษะทั้งสี่ด้าน โดยเฉพาะทักษะการฟังและการพูด

The M5 course is an upper- intermediate level course. A blend of methodologies is used in the delivery of this course. Once again, the communicative approach is a major factor here. We use a functional/situational syllabus; personalized practice; real language work in real situations; activities to encourage genuine communication inside and outside the classroom; development of all four skills – especially listening and speaking.

Practice

This course has a wide variety of practice activities, both controlled and free, mechanical and information gap. Students are encouraged to analyse the target language and use it communicatively.

การสอนภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารเปิดโอกาสมากมายให้นักเรียนฝึกใช้ภาษาได้จริง  ส่วนไวยากรณ์ การอ่าน คำศัพท์ การเขียนจะเป็นองค์ประกอบที่นำมารวมเข้ากับการพูดและ/หรือการฟังเสมอเพื่อการสื่อสารเทียบชั้นเจ้าของภาษา  ทักษะการสื่อสารมีแนวการฝึกปฏิบัติพิเศษตามหัวข้อเฉพาะ เช่น สำนวนภาษาพูด การแสดงความคิดเห็น การให้คำแนะนำ การเสนอและการขอร้อง การโต้ตอบและการต่อบทสนทนา

Speaking, Listening, and Everyday English

The communicative approach gives students plenty of opportunities to put language into practice. Grammar, Reading, Vocabulary, and Writing sections are always combined with speaking and/or listening activities to encourage genuine communication using the target language.

Communicative skills are also given special treatment by presenting and practicing language used in a variety of real-life situations.

ส่วนสำคัญในการนำภาษามาใช้นั้นจะต้องมุ่งไปที่ประโยคที่จะนำมาใช้ สำนวน หรือโครงสร้างไวยากรณ์ที่ใช้ในเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นจริงแต่ละวัน

Spoken English

The emphasis of activating language is added to by focusing on particular phrases, expressions, or grammatical structures used in everyday communicative situations.

คำศัพท์

การพัฒนาทักษะการใช้คำศัพท์เป็นเรื่องที่สำคัญมาก  วิธีการสอนแบ่งออกกว้างๆ ได้เป็นสามส่วน คือ เสริมสร้างลักษณะนิสัยการเรียนรู้ที่ดี เช่น การใช้พจนานุกรม การจดบันทึก การอ่าน การฝึกหาความหมายจากบริบท  ต่อมาคือการพิจารณาระบบของคำศัพท์ เช่น กลุ่มคำที่ต้องใช้ร่วมกัน คำประสม คำที่มีความหมายตรงกันข้าม คำที่มีความหมายเหมือนกัน คำพ้องเสียง คำพ้องรูป การสร้างคำขึ้นใหม่ การสะกดคำ และการออกเสียง และสุดท้ายคือการสอนคำศัพท์ใหม่ๆ

Vocabulary

Great importance is attached to the acquisition of vocabulary. The approach can be broadly divided into three areas: the encouragement of good learning habits (using dictionaries, keeping records, reading, working out meaning from context); an examination of the systems of vocabulary (collocation, compounds, antonyms, synonyms, homophones, homonyms, word building, spelling and pronunciation); and the teaching of new items in lexical sets.
